He has dwelt at Providence, Broadalbin, Northampton, Troy and Albany, N. Y.; and was living at Cedar Creek Hundred, near Ellendale post-office, Delaware, in May 1875.

III. Catharine Shew, b. at Providence, N. Y., 12 Dec. 1823; married there, 12 Nov. 1845, John Kennelly Anderson, a teacher, son of Aaron and Polly (Kennelly) Anderson, of Edinburgh, N. Y., where he was born 19 Ap. 1818. They dwelt at Edinburgh from 1845 to 1860; and then moved to Amsterdam, N. Y., which was still their home in June 1875.

IV. Hannah Shew, b. at Providence, N. Y., 7 Feb. 1825; married at Gloversville, N. Y., 17 March 1861, Josias La Mont Masten, an eclectic physician, son of Charles and Rosanna (La Mont) Masten, of Hillsdale, N. Y., where he was born 8 Dec. 1801. They dwelt, for fourteen years, at Providence; and then moved to Northampton, N. Y., where they were still living in May 1875.

V. Susan Maria Shew, b. at Providence, N. Y., 8 Feb. 1827; married at Northampton, N. Y., 5 Dec. 1866, by Rev. Isaac Devoe, Presbyterian, to Henry James Herrick, a mechanic, son of Robert and Polly (McIntyre) Herrick, of Corinth, N. Y., where he was born 7 June 1818. They settled at Batchellerville, N. Y.; and were living there in May 1875, without children.

VI. John Shew, b. at Providence, N. Y., 24 July 1828; a farmer and fruit-grower; married there, 28 Jan. 1851, Philena Cady, dau. of Calvin and Betsey (Pike) Cady, of Corinth, N. Y., where she was born 5 July 1831. They dwelt at Providence, with his father, during his father's life; and moved, 20 Ap. 1871, to Ellendale, Del., where they were living in June 1875.
