Sept. 1850; married at Owego, N. Y., by Rev. W. B. Westlake, Methodist, 21 Sept. 1867, to Charles Vinton Prince, a farmer, son of George Washington and Emeline Curtis (Tyrrel) Prince, of Windham, Penn., where he was born 3 Aug. 1844. They settled on Tyrrel Hill, in Windham, and still resided there in 1874.
5116 V. George Lewis Hauver, b. at Owego, N. Y., 21 Dec. 1858; lived with his parents, at Owego, in 1874.
5117 VI. Frank Melvin Hauver, b. at Owego, N. Y., 3 May 1862; lived with his parents, at Owego, in 1874.

5118 I. Gamaliel Smith, b. at Ridgefield, Conn., 29 Aug. 1788; a shoemaker; married at Ridgefield, 28 Ap. 1813, Polly Northrop, dau. of Jared and Eunice (Betts) Northrop, of Ridgefield, where she was born 20 March 1794. They settled at Ridgefield, in the hollow west of the New Canaan road, opposite the Smith Cemetery. He died 15 Feb. 1861, and was buried in the Smith Cemetery. She was living with her son, at Ridgefield, in July 1877. 12835

Daniel Smith, b. at Ridgefield, Conn., 17 May 1790; a tailor; married at Norwalk, Conn., 13 Feb. 1813, Sarah Benedict, dau. of William and Nancy (Fitch) Benedict, of Norwalk, where she was born 17 Nov. 1790.1 They dwelt at various places in Connecticut, Massachusetts, Ohio, Alabama, and Mississippi. He died without children, 31 Dec. 1864, at Ridgefield, and was buried in Titicus Cemetery. She was living at Ridgefield in July 1873. They adopted her nephew, Henry Smith, born 12 July 1821, son of Edward and Esther (Benedict) Smith.

Henry Smith, b. at Ridgefield, Conn., 28 June 1792; a farmer; married at Ridgefield, 26 Nov. 1818, Anna Rockwell, dau. of William and Sarah (Worden) Rockwell, of Ridgefield, where she was born 26 June 1793. She died at Ridgefield, 29 May 1864, and was buried in Titicus Cemetery. He built a house on West Lane, Ridgefield, in 1841, in which he was still living in Aug. 1877. He has been, for twenty-five years, a communicant of St. Stephen's Church of Ridgefield. 12843
