Eighth Generation.
Lester Keeler, who died without children, 15 Feb. 1856, at Whitlockville, in Bedford, N. Y. She married (2d), 25 Dec. 1856, at North Stamford, Conn., James Hudson Lane, a salesman of boots and shoes, whose parents (names unknown) lived at New York City. He died at Stamford, 23 Sept. 1861, aged 34 years; and was buried in Greenwood Cemetery, Brooklyn, N. Y. She married (3d), 18 May 1866, at New Haven, Conn., Joseph Lockwood, a farmer, son of Gideon Weed and Mary (Ayers) Lockwood, of North Stamford, where he was born 7 July 1836. They settled at Peekskill, N. Y., and were living there in June 1875. 5648
5666 II. Philip Burr Keeler, b. at Ridgefield, Conn., 17 July 1840; a farmer; married at Stamford, Conn., 31 Jan. 1861, Emily Davis, who was born at Stamford, 9 Sept. 1845, dau. of Gould Selleck and Elsey (Stevens) Davis, of Stamford, afterward of New Canaan, Conn. They settled at Stamford, and afterward removed to South Hero, Vt., where they were living in Feb. 1875. He enlisted at Stamford, 18 Aug. 1862, as waggoner, in Co. A, 28th Reg. Conn. Vol. Infantry; and was mustered out at New Haven, Conn., 28 Aug. 1863. 13764

5667 I. George Bates Keeler, was living at South Hero, Vt., in Ap. 1875.
5668 II. Frederick Lacy Keeler, died of fever, at New Orleans, La., 2 June 1864, unmarried. He served in the Union army.
5669 III. Charles Edward Keeler, b. at Danbury, Conn.; a farmer; married at Lowell, Mass., 8 May 1871, Mary Ettie Murphy, dau. of John and Betsey (Edgerton) Murphy, of Stockholm, N. Y., where she was born 31 July 1849. They dwelt at South Hero, Vt., till 1872; then moved to Newfield, Oceana Co., Mich., where they lived nearly three years; and, in the Spring of 1875, returned to South Hero. 13769
