Hannah3 Whitney (Joshua2, John1), son of Joshua2 and Mary (-----)(Buckminster) Whitney,[1] was born say 1670, Groton, MA,[2] and died before 7 Apr 1713, probably Groton, MA, when she was called deceased in her father's will.[3]
She married say 1693, probably Groton, MA, Thomas Woods,[4] as his second wife, son of Samuel and Alice (Rushton) Woods[5] He was born 9 Mar 1663, Groton, MA,[6] and died 28 Aug 1738, Groton, MA.[7]
Thomas Woods had married firstly, about 1685, Elizabeth -----,[8] who died 21 Apr 1688, Groton, MA.[9]
Thomas Woods married thirdly, Hannah -----,[10] who was living in 1721.[11]
Thomas Woods married fourthly, 30 Apr 1723, Groton, MA, Abigail (Nutting) Chamberlain,[12] daughter of John and Mary (Lakin) Nutting, and widow of Thomas Chamberlain of Groton.[13] She was born about 1680,[14] and died before Oct 1740.[15]
On 17 Apr 1713, the will of her father called her "eldest daughter, wife of Thomas Woods, having received her portion;" also she is not among "my five daughters now living."[16]
In 1735 he was "bereft of reason."[17]
