Family:Whitney, Mary (1755-a1813)
Mary5 Whitney (Joseph4, Joseph3, John2, Henry1), daughter of Joseph4 and Mary (Coit) Whitney, was born 12 Aug 1755, Norwalk, CT, and died 31 Oct 1827, Norwalk, CT, aged 72 years 2 months 19 days. She was buried in St. Paul's Churchyard.
She married 26 Mar 1775, Norwalk, CT, Hanford Fairweather,[1] son of Thomas and Mary (Hanford) Fairweather. He was born say 1752, Norwalk, CT, and died 27 Aug 1795, Norwalk, CT.
Phoenix says the following:[2]
- She was living in Norwalk 30 Jan. 1813, at which date she mortgaged to Stephen Mott a part of her homestead. She dwelt in the second house above the Catholic Church, and died there, 31 Oct. 1827, aged 72 years, 2 months, and 19 days, according to her gravestone in St. Paul's Churchyard.

Susan -----. vi. Maria Fairweather, b. 10 Sep 1788, Norwalk, CT; m. Daniel Curtis. vii. Betsey Fairweather, b. 29 Mar 1790, Norwalk, CT; m. Daniel Nash. viii. Benjamin Fairweather, b. 27 Sep 1792, Norwalk, CT; a mariner; and, according to tradition, he was lost at sea.
