Family Talk:Whitney, Ira (1810-a1861)

Ira died at least over a year before the 1871 Ontario census in Whitby, Ontario--he is still on the 1861 census and if he had died in the twelvemonth before 1871, he would have been included as having died in the previous year. So he died sometime between 1861, after the census was taken, and the end of 1869, before the twelvemonth period prior to the 1871 census. His wife, Lydia Wilcox Whitney, is on the 1871 and 1881 Ontario census as a widow. Her death is recorded as 8 Dec 1883 in Whitby, Ontario.
