I am very interested in the correct linage past John Whitney. Many of my extended family are interested, too. We support those who are actively researching this line. ("We" being an informal family committee consisting of several of my sisters and some cousins that we enroll from time to time in helping with projects.) I also appreciate any documentation that is available for the people in my line. I inherited a lot of genealogy but not a lot of detailed sources.
I currently live in South Jordan, Utah, married to a most supportive and great man. I am mother of seven and grandmother of four. I have recently completed a class in Early English handwriting which I have already been able to put to use. I am hooked into genealogy & family history and currently am working on my third book project (not Whitney) with some of my sisters and cousins. I am also working on a Genealogy Certificate from BYU. (They no longer offer the Certificate but are letting those already in the program finish.) Being a wife, mother and grandmother comes first, so, I am slow but steady. I also have a few other interests that take some time, mainly the singer status I currently enjoy in the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, and the powerfully addictive hobbies of quilt design and gardening.
I am new to the WRG, (Feb 2008) and I am duely impressed with the quantity and quality of information that has been collected and organized on this site. I offer my sincere thanks to those who contribute and continue the research and writing.
