My name is Sharon Barnett. I was born in Worcester, Massachusetts. I lived in Massachusetts until I was 20. I then joined the Air Force and met my husband. We traveled and lived in many different places during his 21 years of service. We settled in Moville Iowa in 1988. My husband Glenn and I have 6 children and 12 grandchildren. I am an LPN and also have a BA in Theology.

My parents were Edmund Carr and Marion Whitney. They had 7 children, 31 grandchildren, 55 great-grandchildren and 4 great great-crandchildren.

As a member of DAR, I have proven my ancestral line back to Abel Whitney, born in 1734 and his wife, Thankful Morton, born in 1739.

I don't have any qualifications as a genealogist. What I know has been learned strickly from trial and error. So far I have over 3500 names in my genealogy. I just keep plugging along. The Whitney group has been extremely helpful in my quest for my ancestors.
