Edit My Whitney Line

Hello! My name is Matt Allen. My earliest Whitney ancestor that I have discovered thus far is Asa Whitney. He was born I think on April 29, 1774. He fought in the American Revolution. His son was Dexter Whitney, born on March 8, 1802 and died on July 17, 1872. His son was Adelbert Rozern Whitney, born on April 6, 1847 and died in 1905. His son was Erwin B. Whitney, born in July 1866 and died in 1928. His daughter was Lou Whitney, born in July 1890, I don't think that was her actual name, but everybody in my family said they always called her "Lou". She died in 1958. She married my 2nd great grandfather (great-great grandfather), Louis Oriett Allen. Therefore, she became known as "Lou W. Allen". I think the "W" as her middle initial stood for her "Whitney" maiden name. They had two children together, Whitney R. Allen, born in about 1914, died on February 4, 2005. The other child was Robert Oriett Allen, Sr., born on October 31, 1915 and died on May 28, 1999. He's my great grandfather, who had my grandfather, Robert Oriett Allen, Jr., who had my father, Robert Oriett Allen, III, who had me, therefore, I am blood related to the Whitney's. Most of them are buried in South Street Cemetery in Triangle, New York. Once again, my name is Matt Allen.
