To leave someone a new message, go to their User Page and click on the Comments tab. A box will at the top of the page will say: Leave a message for -user- by clicking here. Click on it and leave your message. You had mistakenly added your message to the message I left for Robert.

I investigated your situation. When you made an edit in October 2013, you apparently inadvertently overwrote a "]]" near the end of the text. Omitting that caused the behavior you observed, that the photo didn't display as you wished. I inserted "]]", which seems to have rectified the problem.
