Hiram Tooker8 Whitney (Curtis Russell7, Silas6, Aaron5, Samuel4, Richard3, John2, Henry1), son of Curtis Russell7 and Rhoda (Hawkins) Whitney, was born 21 Mar 1837, Superior, MI, and died after Feb 1874.

He married firstly, 24 Jul 1858, Bengal, MI, Marian Lucretia Hayes. She was born 17 Oct 1842, Bengal, MI. They were divorced in 1865.

He married secondly, 22 Sep 1867, St. Charles, MI, Mary Elizabeth Miller, daughter of John and Sarah (Davis) Miller. She was born 21 Mar 1848, Tuscarawas Co., OH, and died after Feb 1874.

Phoenix says the following:

". . . a carpenter and joiner . . . . They dwelt at St. Charles till 1 Feb. 1868; at Victor, Mich., till 20 Sept. 1869; at Oakley, Mich., till 19 Feb. 1870; and then moved to Maple Rapids, Mich., where they were living in Feb. 1874."
