Abner⁶ Whitney (Samuel⁵, William⁴, Nathaniel³, John², John¹), son of Samuel⁵ and Abigail (Fletcher)Whitney, was born 18 May 1748, Weston, MA,^[1] was baptized 22 May 1748, Weston, MA,^[2] and died Sep 1811, Westminster, MA.

He married firstly, 14 May 1770, Westminster, MA, Elizabeth Glazier,^[3] of Shrewsbury, MA. She died 3 Apr 1778, Westminster, MA.^[4]

He married secondly, 22 Apr 1779, Westminster, MA, Lavina (Glazier) Ward.^[5] She was born 9 May 1752, and died 23 Jul 1838, Westminster, MA, aged 86 years.^[6]

He resided Westminster and Ashburnham, Massachusetts.
