Zachariah F.8 Whitney (John7, John6, Zachariah5, John4, Joseph3, John2, John1), son of John7 and Sophia (Faulkner) Whitney, was born 15 Apr 1816, Lunenburg, MA.

He married, 13 May 1841, Rindge, NH, Hepsibath Smith. She was born 24 Feb 1821.

He resided W. Rindge, NH. He was selectman in 1861-62-63.

Children of Zachariah F.8 and Hepsibath (Smith) Whitney:

i. Osborne Augustine9 Whitney, b. 12 Jul 1842; m. Mary Jane Brown; resided Brighton, ON, Lynn, MA, and Pittsfield, MA.
ii. Thomas S. Whitney, b. 21 Apr 1844; m. Abbie S. Everett.
iii. Ellen S. Whitney, b. 5 Feb 1846; d. unmarried in Rindge, 16 Apr 1881.
iv. Lauretta H. Whitney, b. 25 May 1848; d. 2 Sep 1852.
