Ephraim7 Whitney (Ephraim6, John5, John4, Joseph3, John2, John1), son of Ephraim6 and Mary (Reed) Whitney,[1] was born 6 Jan 1776 (posthumously), Framingham, MA.[2] Apparently he died between 1810 and 1820, possibly in Boston, MA.

He married, 26 Mar 1798, Boston, MA, Sophia Taintor,[3] daughter of Benjamin and Margaret (Hinds) Taintor. She was born 12 May 1779, Westborough, MA, and died 28 Jul 1847, Jay, Maine.

No record has been found of any children of this couple. The 1810 census suggests a daughter born before 1800.
