Joseph H. Whitney, parentage unknown, was born about 7 Nov 1805, Boston, MA, and died 10 May 1848, Weymouth, MA, aged 42 years 7 months 3 days, of consumption.[1]
He married 28 Nov 1841, Weymouth, MA, Louisa N. Loud "of Braintree",[2] daughter of David and Sarah (White) Loud. She was born 12 Sep 1808, Braintree, MA, was baptized about 2 Apr 1822, Weymouth, MA, and died 1890, Boston, MA.
She was a descendant of William Brewster of the Mayflower.
He was a shoemaker, and lived in Weymouth, MA. His widow removed to Boston, MA.

i. Henry Van Tile Whitney, b. ca. Sep 1842; d. 31 Jul 1847, Weymouth, MA, aged 4 years 10 months, of dropsy in head.[3] ii. Louisa Monteray Whitney, b. 5 May 1847, Weymouth, MA;[4] d. 14 or 15 Aug 1847, Weymouth, MA, aged 3 months 9 days.[5]
