Ezra Ames7 Whitney (Isaac6, Barnabas5, Isaac4, Nathaniel3, Benjamin2, John1), son of Isaac6 and Elizabeth C. (Parlin) Whitney, was born 6 Mar 1815, Augusta, ME.
He married firstly, Martha Tilton. She was born 5 Mar 1814, and died 3 Apr 1841, Freeman, ME. She is buried in the Strong Village Cemetery, Strong, ME.
He married secondly, 26 December 1862, Steuben, ME, Abigail Jane Watts, daughter of Joseph Tupper and Hannah (Wakefield) Watts. She was born 1833, Steuben, ME.
By the 1850 census, after the death of Martha, Ezra was residing in Steuben, ME, where he was a painter. After his second marriage he removed to Freeman by 1854 (1860 census) and Skowhegan by 1870, where he was a carpenter.
