John7 Whitney (Isaiah6, John5, Abraham4, Isaiah3, Thomas2, John1), son of Isaiah6 and Susannah (Newhall) Whitney, was born about 31 Aug 1812, Bolton, MA, and died 25 Sep 1863, Bolton, MA, aged 51 years 25 days, of cholera morbus.[1]

He married firstly, 5 Jun 1831, Bolton, MA, Rhoda Holman.[2] She was born about 1802, and died 28 Oct 1832, Bolton, MA, aged 30 years.[3]

Marriage intentions were published 1 Jan 1837, Bolton, MA, for him and his second wife Cyreene/Sirene Shattuck "of Peperill".[4] He "of Bolton" married, 29 Jan 1837, Pepperell, MA, Cyrene Shattuck,[5] daughter of Reuben and Sally (Parker) Shattuck. She was a double Whitney descendant herself, being a granddaughter of James and Sarah (Chamberlain) Shattuck, and of Eleazer and Abigail (Lawrence) Parker, and great-granddaughter of Jeremiah and Elizabeth (Chamberlain) Lawrence. She was born 2 Sep 1807, Pepperell, MA, and died 16 Mar 1838, Pepperell, MA.[6]

He married thirdly, about 1840, Clarissa -----. She was born about 1793-1798, MA, and died after 1870.
