Stephen Whitney (Phineas5, Isaac4, Nathaniel3, Benjamin2, John1), son of Phineas5 and Anna (Morton) Whitney, born 23 Sep 1771, Gorham, ME, and died sometime after 1811.
He married, 26 Jan 1800, Limington, ME, Ruth Boody, daughter of Rev. Robert and Margarey (Hill) Boody. She was born 13 Jun 1779, New Durham, NH,[1] and died after 1820.
Children of Stephen and Ruth (Boody) Whitney (order uncertain):
i. Nathan Whitney.[2] ii. Benjamin Whitney.[3] iii. Crosby Whitney.[4] iv. Remington Hobby Whitney.[5] This was probably Family:Whitney, Remington Hobby (1801-1890). v. Peter Whitney,[6] b. 14 Dec 1811, ME, d. 16 Mar 1875, Onondaga, MI, m. Laura S. Farley. vi. Jane Whitney.[7] vii. Mary Whitney.[8] viii. Sally Ann Whitney.[9]
