Stephen⁶ Whitney (Phineas⁵, Isaac⁴, Nathaniel³, Benjamin², John¹), son of Phineas⁵ and Anna (Morton) Whitney, born 23 Sep 1771, Gorham, ME, and died 6 Oct 1820.

He married, 26 Jan 1800, Limington, ME, Ruth Boody, daughter of Rev. Robert and Margarey (Hill) Boody. She was born 13 Jun 1779, New Durham, NH,^[1] and died 1823.

vi.	Peter Whitney,[6] b. 14 Dec 1811, ME; m. Laura S. Farley.
vii.	Jane Whitney,[7] b. 9 Nov 1813, CT; d. 1839, St. Joseph Co., MI.
viii.	Mary Whitney,[8] b. ca. 1820, prob. Painted Post, Steuben Co., NY; d. after 1852, MI.
ix.	Sally Ann Whitney,[9] b. Oct 1822, NY; d. after 1820, NY.
