Ephraim6 Whitney (David5, Nathaniel4, Nathaniel3, John2, John1), bap. Natick, Massachusetts, 29 May 1747; married 11 Jun 1771, Sarah Wood.
He was in the Revolutionary war; was a minute-man in Mann's company, of Colorado. Ballard regiment at the Bunker Hill "alarm." Later he was in Capt. Morse's company, and still later in Capt Gardner's company, of Colorado. Brook's regiment at White Plains, and the campaign in New York. He c. 26 Jun 1832; resided Natick, Massachusetts.
Children of Ephraim6 Whitney:
i. George7 Whitney, born 22 Feb 1772; married Miriam Hunt. ii. David Whitney, born 13 Sep 1776; died in Scottsville, New York, in 1854. His descendants reside in Plainsville, Ohio. iii. Mehitable Whitney, born 22 Aug 1773; married John Hunting; resided Haverstraw, New York. iv. Sarah Whitney, born 24 Dec 1783. v. Bela Whitney, born -----; died 14 Dec 1794.
