Levi5 Whitney (Daniel4, Jonathan3, Jonathan2, John1), son of Daniel4 and Thankful (Allen) Whitney was born 5 Dec 1739 at Shrewsbury, MA[1] and died 1809[2].

Levi married Rebecca Clark, daughter of Dea. Samuel Clark, 19 Dec 1764.

Marriage banns for he and Lydia Randall were published 16 Oct 1780 at Shrewsbury, MA; wife "of Townsend;".

Rebecca Clark was born circa 1737; calculated from age at death. She died on 11 Apr 1779 at Townsend, MA; in her 43rd year. She was also known as Rebecca Clarke.

Children of Levi5 and Rebecca (Clark) Whitney all b. at Townsend, MA:

i. Amos6 Whitney, b. 11 Feb 1766; m. Anna Brown 16 Aug 1789 at Concord, MA; both "of Concord;" d. 2 Oct 1854 at Chelmsford, MA, at age 88.
He was also known as Cornet Amos Whitney.
ii. Asa Whitney, b. 1 Jul 1767; m. Mary Wallis 25 Feb 1790 at Townsend, MA; d. 27 Dec 1851 at Townsend, MA, at age 84.

iv. Sebbel Whitney, b. 27 Aug 1770 at Townsend, MA; b. 27 Oct 1770; m. Cyrus Smith, son of Capt. Abijah Smith and Abigail Wheelock, 13 Nov 1794 at New Ipswich, NH; husband "of New Ipswich, N.H;" d. 22 Sep 1847 at Big Bend, WI, at age 76.
v. Aaron Whitney, b. 13 Sep 1772; b. circa 1773; calculated from age at death; m. Phebe Duncklee, daughter of David Duncklee and Phebe Odell, 16 Mar 1797; m. Olive Lund circa 1800 at Amherst, MA; m. Olive Lund 2 Feb 1801 at Dunstable, MA; husband "of Amherst", wife "of Dunstable, NH;" d. 15 Feb 1847 at Westbrook, ME, at age 74; aged 74 years; bur. at Westbrook, ME.
vi. Sewel Whitney, b. 16 Jun 1774; d. at Lansingburgh, NY; "drowned by being accidentally knocked from the deck of a sloop."

Lydia Randall was born in 1742 at Lunenburg, MA. She married Maj. Henry Price before 1780 at Townsend, MA. She died in 1816. She Surname given as Rice in the intent published in Shrewsbury 16 Oct 1780.

i. Rebeckah6 Whitney, b. 29 Jul 1781 at Townsend, MA; m. Benjamin Wallace 18 Sep 1799; husband "of Townsend."
