John2 Widney (James1), son of James1 and Ann (Erwin) Whitney, was born 10 Nov 1779, Emyvale, co. Monagham, Ireland, and died 7 Aug 1837, Perry Co., PA.
He married, 7 Apr 1814, Concord, PA, Ann Patterson, daughter of John and Ann (Henderson) Patterson. She was born 1790, Toboyne Township, Cumberland Co., PA, and died 1 Nov 1866, DeKalb Co., IN.
Children of John2 and Ann (Patterson) Widney:
i. James H.3 Widney, b. ca. 1815, Cumberland Co., PA; d. after 1851. A James H. WIDNEY, age 38, listed on Dekalb Cty, IN, 1850 federal census, born in PA. Occupation listed as "daguman." A James H. WIDNEY, age 38, also listed on Breckinridge, KY, 1850 federal census. Occupation "daguman." Widney, J. H., advertised as a daguerreian in Evansville, Ind., in May, 1851, in partnership with William S. Gove. The pair had rooms over the Insurance Company, on Water Street. ii. John Patterson Widney, b. 28 Nov 1816, Horse Valley, Perry Co., PA; m.(1) Jane Linn; m.(2) Mary Henderson3 Widney. iii. Annabel Widney, b. ca. 1819, Cumberland Co., PA. iv.
