Alexander Widney, parentage unknown, was born between 1765 and 1784, and died said 1831.
He married, 1807, Lower Path Valley Presbyterian Church, Fannettsburg, PA, Ruth Noble, daughter of Joseph and Susanna (McClelland) Noble. She was born 1783, Franklin Co., PA, and died 1823.
Children of Alexander and Ruth (Noble) Widney:
i. John Widney, b. 1808; m. Elizabeth Boggs. ii. Johnston Widney, b. 1810; m. Eliza C. Holbrook. iii. (child) Widney, b. 1812. iv. Alexander Widney, b. 29 Aug 1814, PA; m. Asenia Holcomb.
Notes
He was almost certainly a close relative (possibly a nephew) of James Widney, whose children settled in Fannett Township, Franklin Co., PA. Similarly for William Widney, of the same place.
