Simeon7 Whitney (Amos6, Jonathan5, Samuel4, John3, Benjamin2, John1), son of Amos6 and Abigail (Springer) Whitney, was born 17 Aug 1800, Bath, ME, and died 21 Mar 1884.

He married firstly, 1825, Rosanna Smith, daughter of John and Faith (-----) Smith. She was born 21 Dec 1800, and died 6 Oct 1845.

He married secondly, before 1848, Mrs. Elizabeth "Betsy" Goodrich.

Simeon and both of his wives are buried in the Bingham Village Cemetery, Bingham, ME.

He resided Moscow, Somerset Co., ME in the censuses of 1850 through 1880. He was a farmer.

Children of Simeon7 and Rosanna (Smith) Whitney:

i. Abigail8 Whitney, b. 6 Dec 1825; m. 27 Sep 1847, Moscow, ME, Israel Greenwood, son of Gilbert and Elizabeth (-----) Greenwood, b. 14 Dec 1817, d. 23 Sep 1863, Baton Rouge, LA.
ii. David S. Whitney, b. 15 Jan 1831; m. Susan S. Adams; resided Bingham, ME.
iii. Sarah Jane S. Whitney, b. 8 Dec 1835, The Forks, ME; m. 18 Nov 1858, Moscow, ME, Edward A. Andrews. They had three children, all b. Moscow, ME: Abbie Estelle, b. 16 Mar 1867; James LaForest, b. 9 Feb 1878; and Ernest Edward, b. 9 Apr 1880.
iv. Amos Whitney, b. 1 Feb 1841; m. after 1860, Mary Ann Bemiss.
v. Hannah E. Whitney, b. 22 Feb 1845; m. 21 Sep 1862, Moscow, ME, Sylvester Foss, b. 1837, NH. Both died in Bingham, ME: he in 1912 and she in 1938. Both are buried in the Bingham Village Cemetery, Bingham, ME.
