Robert Patten7 Whitney (Joseph6, Joseph5, Abel4, Nathaniel3, Benjamin2, John1), son of Joseph6 and Nancy (Hunter) Whitney, was born 13 Oct 1819, Lubec, ME, and died 20 Nov 1897, Topsham, ME.
He married firstly, 17 Jun 1846, Topsham, ME, Ruth F. Sprague, daughter of Willis S. Sprague. She was born 1 Mar 1824, Topsham, ME, and died 3 Apr 1868, Topsham, ME.
He married secondly, intentions in Topsham, ME, 10 Nov 1869, Margaret P. Haley. She was born 14 Mar 1835, and died 2 Jul 1903, Topsham, ME.
Robert, both of his wives, and his daughter Mabel are all buried in Riverside Cemetery in Topsham.
