Hello, my name is Anna Judd Carr. My earliest Whitney ancestor would be my grandmother. Her name is Myra Brigid Whitney. Not too sure at the moment of the correct spelling of her middle name. She married my grandfather, William Henry Lacy of Elkton, Todd County, KY. Together, they had 7 children. My mother, Polly Lacy Judd, born 6/17/27 recently passed on 11/12/2009 in Louisville, KY.

My dad, who also has passed, was Edward Judd, born 9/25/1924 in Bardstown, KY. (Nelson County). Together, my parents have 9 children, all living; most in the Louisville area.

Myra Whitney and William Henry Lacy were married in Chattanooga, TN. Myra's parents were Zill and "Fronia" McPhearson. Mom has told us many stories about her grandparents, aunts and uncles. Our family has pictures of this family.

I am a member of Ancestry.com. My tree is the Judd Family Tree. There, you can find more information on this family.

I was really surprised to hear about the way Zill Whitney was murdered. Neither my mother, nor any family member has mentioned it. It was shocking to me.
