Anna5 Whitney (David4, Joseph3, John2, Henry1), daughter of David4 and Elizabeth (Hyatt) Whitney, was born 10 Apr 1756, Norwalk, CT,[1] and died 14 Mar 1835, Walton, NY.

She married, Samuel Seymour, son of Andrew and Sarah (Crissey) Seymour. He was born 21 Sep 1756, New Canaan, CT, and died 23 Jan 1834, Walton, NY.

Phoenix says the following:

They settled in New Canaan, Conn., and, in 1803, moved to Walton, Delaware Co., N.Y.

Children of Samuel and Anna5 (Whitney) Seymour:

i. Lewis Seymour, b. 30 May 1774, New Canaan, CT; m.(1) Hannah North; m.(2) Eleanor Chatterton.
ii. Thaddeus Seymour, b. 4 Jun 1776, New Canaan, CT; settled in the City of New York, where he was alderman of the Fourth Ward, in 1823, and one of the committee to receive Gen. La Fayette, in 1826; died, unmarried, 3 Feb. 1835, in New York, and was buried in Greenwood Cemetery.
iii. Polly Seymour, b. 11 Feb 1778, New Canaan, CT; m. Cook St. John.
iv. William Seymour, b. 20 Mar 1780, New Canaan, CT; m. Catharine Reynolds.
v. Samuel Seymour, b. 5 Sep 1782, New Canaan, CT; a teacher; m. 25 Oct 1803, near New Brunswick, NJ, Mary Myer, b. near New Brunswick, 10 June 1786, dau. of John and ----- (Flatt) Myers. They d. in New Brunswick (he, 25 Jan 1830; she, 27 Aug 1856), and were buried there. They had no children.
vi. Anna Seymour, b. 1 Jul 1784, New Canaan, CT; m. William Gay.
vii. Sally Seymour, b. 6 Jun 1787, New Canaan, CT; m. Dyer Brainerd.
