Joshua7 Whitney (Shubael6, Asa5, Joshua4, William3, Joshua2, John1), son of Shubael6 and Sarah (Mitchell) Whitney, was born 1 Jan 1800 or 1 Jan 1799, Groton, CT,[1] and died 1885, Cleveland, OH.

He married firstly, 6 Apr 1829, Norwich, CT, Lydia R. Palmer, "both of Norwich",[2] daughter of Robert Miner and Bridget (Baldwin) Palmer. She was born 13 Jun 1806, Griswold, CT, and died between 1870 and 1875.

He married secondly, 5 Aug 1875, Cuyahoga Co., OH, Lucina (Emerson)(Nicholas) Meacham, daughter of Asa and Sarah (Small) Emerson. She was born 2 Mar 1822, Parma, OH, and died 29 Nov 1895. She had married firstly, before 1841, Charles Nicholas. She had married secondly, before 1846, Levi E. Meacham (c1819-1846).
