Ethan7 Whitney (Hiram6, Henry5, Isaac4, Nathaniel3, Benjamin2, John1), born 22 Apr 1788; married 7 Jan 1810, Betsy Mellen Green; born in Mendon, 22 Nov 1792. He died July, 1823, in Boston. She was married 2d, 9 Sep 1825, Micah Bent, and died 22 Aug 1871, in Bellingham; resided Milford, Massachusetts.

i. Nelson8 Whitney, born 5 May 1811; married Ruth M. Guild. ii. Harriet Whitney, born 9 Apr 1813; died unmarried iii. Willis Whitney, born 1815; died 11 Sep 1817. iv. Dexter Whitney, born -----; married Adeliza Cook. v. Ethan Whitney, born -----; resided 72 Downing street, Brooklyn, New York.
