Solomon6 Whitney (Solomon5, Nathaniel4, Nathaniel3, John2, John1), son of Solomon5 and Martha (Fletcher) Whitney, was born 5 Dec 1735, Concord, MA, and baptized 14 Dec 1735, Weston, MA.[1]

He "Jr." married 14 Jan 1762, Lincoln, MA, Mary Fay,[2] daughter of Silas and Hannah (Billing) Fay. She was born 14 Feb 1740/1, Lincoln and/or Weston, MA, and died unknown.

Children of Solomon6 and Mary (Fay) Whitney:

i. Leonard7 Whitney, bapt. 7 Aug 1763, Lincoln, MA;[3] m. Cate Wheeler.
ii. Silas Whitney, bapt. 13 Jul 1766, Lincoln, MA;[4] m.(1) Hopestill Sargent; m.(2) Sally Lovejoy.
iii. Otis Whitney, b. about 1768; m. Sarah Taylor.
iv. (possibly) Charles Whitney, b. ca. 1769, m. Polly Heywood.
v. Levi Whitney, b. ca. 1772,[5] m. Susanna Sargent.[6]
v. (possibly) John Whitney, b. 1777, Lincoln, MA; d. 6 Nov 1851, Warren, ME; m. Lydia Russell.

Notes

Charles Whitney was enumerated in the same locations as Levi Whitney in 1800 and 1810, suggesting that Charles may have been his brother. Also Charles sold Levi a lot in Hope, ME, in 1801.
