Samuel Whitney parentage unknown, was born about 1786, CT, or about 1791, MA, and died between 1860 and 1870.
Apparently he married firstly, before 1830, ----- -----, who is deduced from the death record of their daughter.
Marriage intentions were published 15 May 1837, Brimfield, MA, for him and "Mrs." Anna L. Amsden "of Petersham".[1] He "Jr." married, apparently secondly, 13 Jun 1837, Petersham, MA, Anna Larned (Peckham) Amsden,[2] daughter of Ellis and Mehitable (Learned) Peckham. She was born 4 Mar 1793, Petersham, MA,[3] and died 17 Dec 1875, Petersham, MA, aged 82 years 9 months 12 days, of old age.[4] She had married firstly, 7 Jul 1814, Petersham, MA,[5] Daniel H. Amsden, who died 6 Jul 1821, Petersham, MA, aged 28 years.[6]

Samuel and Anna Larned (Peckham)(Amsden) Whitney probably had no children.
