Family:Whitney, Alvah (1808-1871)

Alvah⁸ Whitney (Zimri⁷, John⁶, Zachariah⁵, John⁴, Joseph³, John², John¹), son of Zimri⁷ and Susanna (Sanderson) Whitney, was born 27 Jun 1808^[1], and died 29 Sep 1870, Cambridge, MA, aged 62 years 3 months, drowned.^[2]

He married, 26 Apr 1838, Caroline Geyer, daughter of Martin and Eunice (-----) Geyer. She was born 26 Dec 1811,^[3] Friendship, ME, and died 8 Jul 1889, Cambridge, MA, aged 77 years 6 months, of cancer.^[4]

He was a soap maker. He resided Boston and Cambridge, MA.
