Asa6 Whitney, parentage unknown, was born say 1778, and died after 1830, OH.
Marriage intentions were published 31 Oct 1791, Peru, MA, for him and Joanna Jackson, daughter of . She died six years before her husband.

Asa Whitney died in Ohio at an advanced age, his wife having passed away about six years previously. They brought up four sons and three daughters, none of whom are now living."[1]

It seems possible that he was a son of John5 and Molley (Carey) Whitney, but this is far from certain.
