Zelotes Whitney, parentage unknown, was born about 1802, VT, and died 8 Sep 1851, Canton, NY, aged 49 years. He is buried in Morley Cemetery, Canton, NY.

He married, before 1830, Cornelia Johnson. She was born about 1806, NH, and died 19 Jul 1899, Folsomdale, NY. She married secondly, before 1860, Alvah Rice. She is buried in Forest Hill Cemetery, Attica, NY.

He was a cooper, and lived in Canton, NY. On 23 Sep 1843, he was one of the organizing members of the Methodist Church in Canton.
