James7 Whitney (Nathaniel6, Abel5, Nathan4, Nathaniel3, Benjamin2, John1), son of Nathaniel6 and Zilpah (Martin) Whitney, was born 19 Feb 1807,[1] Standish, ME, was baptized 5 Dec 1816, Standish, ME,[2] and died 23 May 1882, Standish, ME. He is buried in the Dolloff Road Cemetery in Standish, ME.

Marriage intentions were filed 7 Oct 1832 and published 21 Oct 1832, Standish, ME, for him "of Standish" and Susan Jones "of Scarboro".[3] He married firstly, 6 Jun 1832, Scarboro, ME, Susan Jones of Scarboro, ME. She died before 1850.

Marriage intentions were filed 26 Sep 1845, Standish, ME, for him and Elizabeth Moody, "both of Standish".[4] He married secondly, 15 Oct 1845, Elizabeth Moody "both of Standish".[5] She was born about 1812 and died after 1880.

He was a farmer, and inherited his father's farm in Standish.

i. William8 Whitney, b. ca. 1834, prob. Standish, ME; d. after 1880; m. Lydia J. -----.
ii. Julia P. Whitney, b. 10 Jun 1835, Standish, ME; d. 22 Apr 1927, prob. Standish, ME; m. Charles W. Stone, b. 12 Dec 1836, d. 17 Apr 1907. They are both buried in Paine Cemetery in Standish, ME.
iii. Sarah Whitney, b. ca. 1839, prob. Standish, ME.

James7 and Elizabeth (Moody) Whitney had no known children.
