He married an unknown woman, born before 1755.

Children of William and ----- (-----) Whitney (order uncertain):

i. (son) Whitney, b. 1784-1790. Could he have been the "John Withney", enumerated in Hamilton Township in 1810?
ii. (daughter) Whitney, b. 1790-1800.
iii. (daughter) Whitney, b. 1790-1800.

He was almost certainly a close relative, possibly father or uncle, of Alexander Widney (b1784-1831), of Fannett Township, Franklin Co., PA. Similarly for William Widney (c1798-1865), of the same place. He could be a brother of James Widney (c1720-1770), of Fannet Township, Franklin Co., PA.
