Ephraim Crocker Whitney (Ephraim), son of Ephraim and Polly (Crocker) Whitney, was born 4 Mar 1823, Machias, ME,^[1] and died 25 Jan 1902, Westbrook, ME.

He married 8 May 1842, Machias, ME, Cymbelina "Lynda" Dinsmore, daughter of Israel and Abigail (Collins) Dinsmore, both born in Harrington, ME. She was born 23 Jan 1815, Machias, ME, and died 7 May 1895, Westbrook, ME.

In the censuses of 1850 thru 1880, Ephraim, Cymbelina and family reside in Marshfield, ME. Ephraim was a carpenter. In the 1900 census, Ephraim resides with his son James and family in Westbrook, ME.

iii.	Mary Olive Whitney, b. 16 Jul 1849, Marshfield, ME; d. 5 Aug 1913, Westbrook, ME; m. 2 Apr 1872, Machias, ME, Noah Miller, b. 12 Aug 1847, Maitland, NS, d. 5 Jan 1920, Westbrook, ME, son of George and Mary (Densmore) Miller.
iv.	Lucinda Whitney, b. 17 Apr 1851, Marshfield, ME; m. Isaac Laferty, b. St. John, NB. Nothing more known.
