Alexander P. Whitney (John, Edward), son of John and Mary (Grant) Whitney, was born about 21 Feb 1820, Falmouth, ME, and died 4 Apr 1873, Chester, VT, aged 53 years 1 month 13 days.[1]

He married firstly, before 1848, Hannah -----. She was born about 1816, ME, and died about 1858, probably Falmouth, ME.

He married secondly, 8 Mar 1859, Roxbury, MA, Mary O'Donnell.[2] She was born about 1835, Ireland, and died after 1880. She married secondly, before 1880, Thomas Madigan.
