Amos⁸ Whitney (Ohio⁷, Silas⁶, Samuel⁵, William⁴, Nathaniel³, John², John¹), son of Ohio⁷ and Mary (Bolton) Whitney, was born 7 Jun 1817, Ashburnham, MA,^[1] and died 20 Apr 1868, Ashburnham, MA, aged 50 years 10 months 17 days, of inflammation of the bladder.^[2]

He married, 7 May 1840, Ashburnham, MA, Harriett J. Bemis.^[3] She was born 20 Aug 1819, Royalston, MA.

He was a carpenter. He resided Ashburnham, MA.
