Ransom6 Whitney (Jonathan5, Matthias4, Cornelius3, Joshua2, John1), son of Jonathan5 and Olive (Cady) Whitney, was born about 11 Mar 1786, CT, and died 29 Apr 1871, Harlem, OH, aged 85 years 1 month 18 days. He was buried in Green Hill Cemetery, Johnstown, OH.[1]

He married, Oct 1818, Luzerne Co., PA, Mary "Polly" Edwards, daughter of Eli and Mary (?Wilsey) Edwards. She was born 10 June 1799, NY, and died 11 Feb 1881, Delaware County, OH, aged 80 years 8 months 1 day. She was buried in Green Hill Cemetery, Johnstown, OH.[2]
