Russell Donald Whitney (Clarence Augustus9, Josiah F.8, Josiah Francis7, Silas6, Josiah5, Nathaniel4, Nathaniel3, Benjamin2, John1), son of Clarence Augustus9 and Hazel Francis (Lee) Whitney, was born 22 Jan 1939, Boston, MA, and died 18 Apr 2009, Boston, MA.
He married 25 Jan 1959, Boston, MA, Eleanor Pierce, daughter of Eleanor Dresser Pierce, Frank D. Pierce of West Roxbury, MA. She was born 10 Oct 1938, Boston, MA.
Russell D. Whitney was raised is Roslindale, MA. He eventually moved to Smith Place in Cohasset, MA in 1968 with his wife Eleanor where they raised four daughters, He lived there until his death in 2009. He was a self employed master electrician for 40 years. He was also an active Mason, Konahasset Lodge, Cohasset, Ma for about 20 years. He was skilled in the art of stained glass. He had a passion for Gold Panning and spent 3-4 months in 1995 at Happy Camp, CA where became skilled at panning for gold. He was also an avid gardener and especially loved to grow tomatoes.
