Constant Hopkins7 Whitney (Sewell Pitt6, Barnabas5, Isaac4, Nathaniel3, Benjamin2, John1), son of Sewell Pitt6 and Annie (Tuttle) Whitney, was born 17 Apr 1824, Freeman, ME, and died 20 Jan 1906, Blue Earth Co., MN.

Marriage intentions were published 25 Jul 1846, Freeman, ME, for him and his first wife Olive H. Vaughan. He married firstly, 9 Aug 1846, Strong, ME, Olive H. Vaughan.[1] They were subsequently divorced in 1849.

He married secondly, 17 Apr 1854, Lowell, MA, Elizabeth Potter, daughter of Stinson and Freelove (-----) Potter.[2] She was born 30 Nov 1830, Bangor, ME, and died 3 Jul 1908, probably MN. Both are buried in the Chase Cemetery, Mapleton, MN.

Constant was a Civil War veteran, and received a pension from the U.S. government.
