Capt. Jonas6 Whitney (Jonathan5, Zaccheus4, Jonathan3, Jonathan2, John1), son of Jonathan5 and Mary (Wyman) Whitney, was born 27 Aug 1772, Lancaster, MA,[1] was baptized 30 Aug 1772, Lancaster, MA,[2] and died 14 Jan 1846, Lancaster, MA, aged 74 years, of dropsy.[3]
Marriage intentions were published 8 Apr 1803, Lancaster, MA, for him and Mary Hawkes "both of Lancaster".[4] He married, 2 Jun 1803, Lancaster, MA, Mary Hawkes, daughter of John and Hannah (James) Hawks.
