Gilbert Titus8 Whitney (George7, Ephraim6, David5, Nathaniel4, Nathaniel3, John2, John1), son of George7 and Miriam (Hunt) Whitney, was born 30 Oct 1816, Hudson, NY, and died 31 May 1889, Mazomanie, WI.
He married, 2 Feb 1840, Scottsville, NY, Harriet Wheeler Smith, daughter of Ebenezer and Laura (Wheeler) Smith. She was born 15 Jul 1821, NY, and died 1 May 1906, Mazomanie, WI.
