Truman John7 Whitney, (John6, John5, Joshua4, Joshua3, Benjamin2, John1) son of John and Polly (Gibbs) Whitney, was born 14 Jun 1818, Lisle, Broome Co., NY, and died 22 Sep 1880, Coles Co., IL.

He married 16 Mar 1836, Silver Creek, NY, Florilla Holmes, daughter of Jonathan and Laura (Frisbie) Holmes. She was born 7 Feb 1819, VT, and died 25 May 1897, Coles Co., IL.
