James7 Whitney (Charles6, Walter5, Samuel4, Richard3, John2, Henry1), son of Charles6 and Jane (White) Whitney, was born 26 May 1814, New Scotland, NY, and died 19 Jul 1851, in Lansing Street, Albany, NY.

He married, 24 Nov 1834, Albany, NY, Elizabeth Blackett Adams, daughter of Joseph Hillyer and Leah (Blackett) Adams. She was born 19 Jan 1815, Albany, NY, and died after 1870. She married secondly, before 1870, George Blackstock.
