George Appleton8 Whitney (George Ransom7, Appleton Downer6, Asa5, Joshua4, William3, Joshua2, John1), son of George Ransom7 and Harriett Maria (Bronson) Whitney, was born 28 Nov 1838, Berea, OH, and died 2 Aug 1908, Evansville, IN, aged 69 years.[1]
He married, 2 Dec 1869, Elyria, OH, Mary Arabella Patterson, daughter of Hiram Patterson. She was born 10 May 1850, OH, and died after 1930.
He was born in Berea, OH. He was educated at Berea, OH, and was a soldier in the war for the Union. After the war closed he engaged in manufacturing business in Berea.
