Azro Burton8 Whitney (Benjamin7, David6, Benjamin5, Joseph4, Joseph3, Jonathan2, John1), son of Benjamin7 and Eliza (Hall)(Whitney) Whitney, was born 11 Mar 1840, Tunbridge, VT,[1] and died 26 Nov 1904, Waterloo, IA.

He married, 1 Nov 1865, Emma Adell Hackett, daughter of Samuel Barnet and Sarah Ann (Williams) Hackett. She was born 4 Aug 1845, Tunbridge, VT, and died 17 Sep 1911, Waterloo, IA.
