Family:Whitney, William Thomas (1835-1925)

William Thomas⁸ Whitney (Isaac Davis⁷, Daniel⁶, David⁵, Nathan⁴, Nathaniel³, Benjamin², John¹), son of Isaac Davis⁷ and Melinda (Harding) Whitney, was born 19 Sep 1835, Hampden, ME, and died 20 Jan 1925, Waterloo, IA.^[1]

He married firstly, 13 Oct 1868, Black Hawk Co., IA, Josephine E. Brott, daughter of William Barnabus and Susan (Van Rensselaer) Brott. She was born about 17 Nov 1846, OH, and died 16 Aug 1923. They were divorced after 1880. She married secondly, 28 Apr 1897, Chicago, IL, Stephen Green (1842-1912). She may have married thirdly, after 1912, ----- Watson. She lived in Los Angeles, CA, in 1900, and Long Beach, CA, in 1910.

He married secondly, 17 Aug 1892, Dubuque, IA, Lucy Canfield, daughter of Samuel and Harriet (Wood) Canfield. She was born Jun 1865, IA, and died 9 Jan 1904, aged 38 years.^[2]

He and Lucy were buried in Elmwood Cemetery, Waterloo, IA.

He moved to Waterloo, IA, in 1857, where he was a liveryman.
