William W.7 Whitney (Abijah6, Joseph5, John4, Joseph3, John2, John1), son of Abijah6 and Anna (Whittemore) Whitney,[1] was born 29 Oct 1807, Weston, MA, baptized 1 Nov 1807, Weston, MA,[2], and died 27 or 29 Oct 1847, Shirley, MA, aged 38 years, baggage master, b. Weston, breaking of bridge on railroad.[3]

Marriage intentions were published 21 Feb 1829, Waltham, MA, for him and Ruth Crossman.[4] He "of Waltham" married, 1 Mar 1829, Boylston, MA, Ruth Crossman,[5] daughter of Abishai and Ruth (Wheeler) Crossman.[6] She was born 17 Sep 1803, Boylston, MA,[7] and died 10 Jun 1851, Clinton, MA, aged 47 years 8 months 13 days, of inflammation.[8]
